I’m back, baby! With a book I had committed to read which then took, uh, too long. Sorry about that. Life is complicated, sometimes. Anyhoo -

#67) WARRIOR OF DARKNESS by Marie Bilodeau

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair review.

I am genuinely really enjoying this series. WARRIOR OF DARKNESS really deepens the story and the characters from the first, taking them in interesting new directions, presenting them with new challenges to overcome and new foes and allies.

If I had one complaint, it would be that, as the characters remain separated for the entirety of this novel, I end up missing the interplay between them. I really liked the budding friendships between our protagonists, as well as the places where they butt heads. However, seeing them alone and growing in their own right, I am very excited to see where they (and the story) end up next.

And yes, this one does end on a really terrible cliffhanger too!
