LRRC Week 8
Wow, two months already! How is it that I'm doing this challenge, and yet I still feel horribly behind in terms of "books I want to read"? Is it the gigantic pile of paperbacks in my living room? It is, isn't it? Oh god, is it behind me??
LRRC Week 7
The list of Nebula Award nominees came out yesterday. I haven't looked at them yet, but probably expect to see some of them on this blog eventually. Also, if you like books, I'm working on a not-very-secret book-related project.
Onto this week's reads! It's super cool that this week they're both queer ownvoices works!
LRRC Week 6
So, uh, some weird ones this week. By some odd coincidence, both books I chose this week are just weird. I want to try to read things in isolation as much as possible, but sometimes comparisons become necessary, especially when one book really worked for me, and one...really didn't. Let's get to it.
LRRC Week 5
Whoa!! We're (I'm) up to book #10 already! And we're doing some fun genre hopping today, so that, I'm sure, will be good.
A brief note on book selection: there is no theme. I mostly read according to what has come due at the library, and fill in with books that I've had on my shelf for months (if not years). There is no rhyme or reason here, there is only chaos. Whee!
LRRC Week 4
I may have made it through this week's books by doing some reading at work during off-hours. Shh, don't tell anyone.
LRRC Week 3
Week three, here we go! I may have strategically made some book choices for this week to make up for the fact that I was out of town for three days, and for the fact that I'm tackling a monster next week.
LRRC Week 2
Welcome to a VERY SLEEPY READING CHALLENGE POST. It's some ungodly hour as I post this, though I wrote the bulk of it in advance because I'm heading out to ConFusion! Hit me up if you'll be there!
Onto the books...
LRRC Week 1
Hello and welcome back to the Lightning Round Reading Challenge! Week 1 is done, and here are my promised recaps.
I'm going to try not to spoil any specific plot details, but I can't promise that you won't be able to glean information from the way I talk about certain aspects and possibly make predictions.
Lightning Round Reading Challenge - Begin!
Happy 2020 everyone, and welcome to the launch post for what I'm calling the Lightning-Round Reading Challenge, AKA the “2 Books A Week For A Year” Challenge, AKA the “why do you like to suffer, Erin?” challenge.
